Help Me!
Okay, now I really need your help. I’ve designed this quilt pattern at the request of Moda to use with their new jelly rolls coming out this summer or fall. What I don’t have is a name for this thang. Take a good look at it, come up with a name and let’s make a mini contest of this. Think of a really good name, email me or write a comment and well have a Blog Vote. Whoever emails or blogs me the winning name will get the first pattern hot off of the press or should I say copier. I know, I know, I could have used better colors but I had a bunch of fat quarters in this line and just used them. Anyway, please help me. My brain has been sucked dry since Market. My creative juices for names has dried up. Let’s make the deadline for this mid July so I can get on with other things on the drawing board. Thanks for your help.

Okay, What to have for dinner? Does this simply question plague you every morning? It does me. So, I starting thinking about it and while starring outside, I noticed lots of sun and no wind and then it hit me. BBQ! Steaks and baked potatoes. Great, All I have to do is scrub the spuds, plunk them in the oven- I might make a nice cesear salad to go with it, and let my husband man the BBQ. He wears his apron like the one pictured here but in his manly fabric. I don’t have a photo. His is stained from years of use and looks awful, but he love it anyway. AH!-Nice hubby. If you think your guy would like a new apron and you want an easy easy pattern, go to my webste at www.sewsimplepatterns.com and click on aprons. I mail with 24 hours so you can have it made before your Memorial Day picnic. Have a GREAT day.
I’ve added two new links. Please, please take a few minutes and visit JCarrell originals, Maple Lane and Shawnee’s. They’re fantastic blogs and sites.
Well, finally I have my new pattern ready for sale. This one is called “Sunday Apron”. It’s based on the idea that when I have my good clothes on and have to get right into the kitchen I know I will be covered. The bib rides a little higher on the neck and covers from arm to arm. It’s like most of my aprons as it’s easy, quick and reversible. Just make a few marks, take a few tucks and sew a little and abbra-ca-dabra you have a reversible apron that has some style and class. Who says an apron has to be frumpy anyway?
Here’s a sneak peek at my latest apron pattern. Because it’s cute and pretty I thought of the name Little Sunday Apron. When I was little my mother always made us wear our best clothes on Sunday and always a new clean apron if we had kitchen duty. I hope to have the patterns available by Sunday. (no pun intended) my little model won’t be available until Saturday. When I get her all dressed up, I’ll put her photo on my blog, if her mommy says it’s okay. I have two grown boys and know nothing about little girls. When I finished this little cutie, made my first thought was, I need a grand-daughter, but please boys, get married first.
Wow! I want to thank everyone who ordered my Childs/Youth Apron pattern in 2007. I can’t believe how well it was received. I would love to hear back from you. Did you like the pattern? Was your child happy with it? If I designed another children’s apron pattern would you be interested?
The same goes to My Mom’s Favorite Apron. Thank you for all your orders. I really appreciate my customers and will do all I can to make the best product possible. If you like what you see and want to order please be sure to visit my website at www.sewsimplepatterns.com.
